Shortly after Scot’s death, the family of Scot A. Bemis established the Scot A. Bemis fund through Catholic Community Foundation. Its mission is to further Scot’s legacy and the efforts of Team Bemis by supporting lung related research and providing scholarships for deserving students.

Bemis scholars are high school students seeking a catholic education. Students are chosen based on financial need, academic commitment, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
